		<description>It reminds me of Oprah&#039;s big give away - &quot;You get a car! You get a car!&quot; Just substitute the word Jesus in place of car. How sad to reduce salvation to a gimmick on any given Sunday.</description>

		<description>One of the strong points of the Southern Baptist Church is their organization, it also can be one of their weak points.  Years ago while in the Military stationed in Anchorage Alaska I attended the large downtown S. Baptist Church.  The sermon was excellent, but at the end the Pastor gave the altar call by saying, &quot;Come on down to the front, give God your heart, me your hand and join the Church&quot;.  If I wasn&#039;t already a believer, I would have thought, shake the preacher&#039;s hand and join the Church and then I would be a Christian.  I never went back, I instead went to a smaller church in a residential area where the Gospel was better explained and the pastor and congregation saw you as a person and not part of the membership goal.</description>
